Cookies & Reach Measurement
- Cookies are pieces of information that are transferred from our web server or the web servers of third parties to the users' web browsers and stored there for later retrieval. Cookies can be small files or other types of information storage.
- We use "session cookies", which are only stored for the duration of the current visit to our online presence (e.g. to enable the storage of your login status or the shopping basket function and thus the use of our online service). A randomly generated unique identification number, a so-called session ID, is stored in a session cookie. In addition, a cookie contains information about its origin and the storage period. These cookies cannot store other data. Session cookies are deleted when you end your use of our online service, e.g. when you log out or close the browser.
- Users are informed within the framework of this privacy policy about the use of cookies in the context of pseudonymous reach measurement.
- If users do not wish cookies to be stored on their computer, they are asked to deactivate the corresponding option in the system settings of their browser. Stored cookies can be deleted in the system settings of the browser. Excluding cookies may lead to functional restrictions of this online service.
- You can object to the use of cookies that are used for reach measurement and advertising purposes via the deactivation page of the Network Advertising Initiative (http://optout.networkadvertising.org/) and additionally the US website (http://www.aboutads.info/choices) or the European website (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/).
Google Analytics
- This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) or Google Ireland Ltd. (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website (see also item 3). The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (see introduction to item 4) is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be abbreviated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union, other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area or Switzerland. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate setting in your browser software; however, we would point out that if you do this you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection by Google of the data generated by the cookie relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en). You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by clicking on the following link. - For more information on the terms of use and data protection, please visit www.google.com/analytics/terms/en.html or www.google.co.uk/intl/en/policies/. We would like to point out that on this website, Google Analytics has been extended by the code "anonymizeIp" in order to ensure anonymised collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).
Google Tag Manager
This website uses Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows marketers to manage website tags via an interface. The tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain and does not collect personal data. The tool triggers other tags, which may in turn collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been made at the domain or cookie level, it will remain in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.
Google Remarketing
- This website uses the online advertising programme Google AdWords as well as the web analytics service Google Analytics and, within this context, conversion tracking and remarketing. These are services provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) or Google Ireland Ltd. (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) ("Google"). Data processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Google uses the DoubleClick cookie on websites within the Google advertising network and for certain Google services to support AdWords customers and publishers in placing and managing advertisements on the web. When you visit a website and view or click on an advertisement placed via the Google advertising network, a DoubleClick cookie may be placed in your browser. The DoubleClick cookie identifier assigned to your browser is the same one used when you visit websites that use DoubleClick advertising programmes. If your browser already has a DoubleClick cookie, no additional DoubleClick cookie should be placed. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website with regard to the advertisements to be placed, to compile reports on website activities and advertisements for the website operators, and to provide other services relating to website usage and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where this is required by law or where third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google's server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our level of knowledge: through the integration of DoubleClick, Google receives the information that you have called up the corresponding part of our website or have clicked on an advertisement from us (in addition to the general data from website use as per the introduction to item 4). If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, there is the possibility that the provider can find out and store your IP address.
- Further information on the use of DoubleClick cookies in connection with DoubleClick's advertising programme can be found in the frequently asked questions on DoubleClick data protection. You can object to the use of the DoubleClick cookie at any time and deactivate it at the following link.
- In addition, this website uses Google's interest-based advertising programme, so-called Google Remarketing. Third-party providers, including Google, place advertisements on websites on the internet and use cookies that are stored for this purpose, on the basis of previous visits by a user to this website. Users who do not wish to receive interest-based advertising can easily deactivate the cookie for Google Remarketing tracking via their internet browser under user settings. You can also deactivate the use of cookies by Google for these purposes by visiting the relevant page. Mouseflow
This website uses Mouseflow, a web analytics tool provided by Mouseflow ApS, Flaesketorvet 68, 1711 Copenhagen, Denmark, to record randomly selected individual visits (only with anonymised IP address). This creates a log of mouse movements and clicks with the intention of sampling individual website visits and deriving potential improvements to the website from them. The information is not personal and is not passed on. If you do not wish to be recorded, you can deactivate this on all websites that use Mouseflow at the following link: https://mouseflow.de/opt-out/.
Users' Rights
Users have the right to receive information about the personal data stored about them by us free of charge upon request. In addition, users have the right to rectify incorrect data, restrict processing and delete their personal data, where applicable to assert their right to data portability, and in the event of an assumed unlawful data processing, to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. Likewise, users can revoke consent, generally with effect for the future.
Deletion of Data
The data stored by us is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purpose and there are no statutory retention obligations precluding deletion. Where users' data is not deleted because it is required for other legally permissible purposes, its processing is restricted. This means that the data is blocked and not processed for other purposes. This applies, for example, to data of users that must be retained for reasons of commercial or tax law. In accordance with statutory requirements, retention takes place for 6 years pursuant to § 257(1) HGB (commercial books, inventories, opening balance sheets, annual financial statements, commercial letters, vouchers, etc.) and for 10 years pursuant to § 147(1) AO (books, records, management reports, vouchers, commercial and business letters, documents relevant for taxation, etc.).
Right to Object
Users can object to the future processing of their personal data in accordance with the statutory requirements at any time. The objection can be made in particular against processing for the purposes of direct marketing.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to change this privacy policy in order to adapt it to changed legal situations, or in the event of changes to the service and data processing. This only applies with regard to declarations on data processing. Insofar as user consent is required or components of the privacy policy contain provisions of the contractual relationship with users, changes will only be made with the consent of the users. Users are requested to regularly inform themselves about the content of the privacy policy.
