Hansa-Park

Deployment Planner for Intelligent Route Optimisation.

For Hansa-Park, Convario developed a custom dispatch software for the efficient control and distribution of promotional materials throughout Lower Saxony. The application bundles promotional materials, plans individual tours and automatically optimises routes based on the Travelling Salesman Problem with Google Maps integration.

Initial Situation

Complex distribution processes without central control.

Distributing promotional materials over a large geographic area requires precise planning, coordination and efficiency. Different promotional materials must be delivered in varying quantities to numerous destinations. Previously, route planning was heavily manual. Tours were assembled individually, without algorithmic optimisation of the routes. This led to unnecessary travel times, higher costs and limited transparency over ongoing campaigns. A digital solution was required for the structured planning, bundling and automatic optimisation of distribution tours.

Objective

Digital dispatching with automated route optimisation.

The aim was to develop a web-based application with which marketing managers can centrally control the entire distribution of promotional materials. The software should:

  • create and bundle promotional materials in a structured manner
  • enable the flexible creation of individual routes
  • geographically capture destinations
  • automatically optimise routes
  • reduce travel times
  • create transparency over campaign distribution At the centre was algorithmically supported route optimisation based on the Travelling Salesman Problem, combined with Google Maps for realistic route calculation.

Implementation

Algorithm-based route planning as a web application.

Convario developed a scalable web application for dispatching promotional materials. The software enables promotional materials to be defined, bundled into campaigns and assigned to specific destinations. Routes can be created individually or generated automatically. An algorithm is used to optimise tours, solving the Travelling Salesman Problem and calculating the most efficient sequence of destinations. The integration of Google Maps enables:

  • realistic route guidance
  • automatic distance and time calculation
  • visual representation of routes
  • dynamic adjustment when changes are made The architecture is web-based and can be used on any device. Changes to destinations or promotional materials are immediately reflected in the optimised tour planning.

Result and Strategic Positioning

Efficient marketing logistics through intelligent software.

With the deployment planner, Hansa-Park now has a central platform for structured and cost-optimised distribution of promotional materials. The automatic route optimisation reduces travel times and operating costs. At the same time, central control increases transparency over ongoing marketing activities and enables flexible adjustment of campaigns. The project demonstrates how algorithmic optimisation and custom web development can make logistics processes measurably more efficient.

Convario develops bespoke dispatch and route planning systems for companies with complex distribution or service processes. The focus lies on:

  • Development of custom route planners
  • Algorithmic route optimisation (TSP)
  • Web-based dispatch software
  • Integration of mapping and geodata services
  • Digitalisation of logistics processes When standard solutions are not flexible enough, individual software development provides a solution precisely tailored to business processes.
